How Far is Atlantic Beach from Emerald Isle?
Not far at all! Atlantic Beach is a roughly 20-minute drive from Emerald Isle, so you can get to and from the festival easily. Once you arrive in Atlantic Beach, it’s easy to find the festival as it’s right near the water. The festival’s address is 115 Atlantic Blvd, Atlantic Beach, NC 28512.
When is the Festival in 2026?
In 2026, the Beach Music Festival is on May 16th from 11 AM-6 PM.
Performers for the 2026 Atlantic Beach Music Festival
Of course, the most important part of the festival is the music. So, who exactly is playing this year? Here’s the lineup:
- Gary Lowder & Smokin’ Hot
- The Band of Oz
- Jim Quick & Coastline
- The I-42 Band
- The Mighty Saints of Soul
The music runs from 11 AM-6 PM, so you can enjoy music all day long!
How Much is Admission?
FREE! You don’t have to pay a dime to attend the Beach Music Festival. It’s completely funded by sponsors, so you can enjoy free of cost!
If you’re interested in becoming a sponsor, there are tiers of donations ranging from $200-$5000. For just $200, you can get two tickets to the exclusive preview party with The Embers at the Dunes Club. Of course, the more perks come, the higher you go, so if you want a front row reserved canopy, VIP access wrist bands, and other high-profile bonuses, you can become a platinum sponsor ($5,000).
Is There Food and/or Alcohol at the Festival?
Yes! There will be food trucks at the festival. You’re also welcome to bring your own in a cooler or bag! Keep in mind that festival rules call for no glass, please. The AB Volunteer Fire Department will be selling beer and water as a fundraiser, so you can purchase alcohol, too! Beer sales will be directly next to the festival merch tent, and food trucks will be located directly next to the stage.
What is the Parking Situation?
Limited paid parking is available at the Circle, so arriving early is recommended.
Additional free and paid parking options include:
- The DoubleTree by Hilton (paid parking for non‑guests; complimentary for hotel guests)
- Carteret Community College (free parking)
- Atlantic Beach Town Park (free parking)
To make getting to the festival easy, free shuttle service will be provided from these parking areas to the festival grounds. Shuttles will run continuously from 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., allowing you to enjoy the music without worrying about parking or traffic.

Frequently Asked Questions:
Is the Atlantic Beach Music Festival a rain‑or‑shine event?
Yes. The festival runs rain or shine and is only canceled for severe weather. Light rain does not stop performances, so plan to attend unless local authorities announce otherwise.
Are pets allowed at the Atlantic Beach Music Festival?
No. Pets are not permitted at the festival grounds or on the shuttle buses. Leave them at your rental or plan pet care in advance.
Can you bring chairs, tents, or canopies to the festival?
Folding beach chairs are allowed and commonly used. Canopies and tents are tightly regulated—set‑up is restricted until late Friday afternoon, side walls are prohibited, and prime canopy space is reserved for sponsors.
What size coolers are allowed at the festival and on shuttles?
Coolers are permitted but must be small (typically 32 quarts or less). Expect inspections at shuttle stops and entrances, and remember that glass containers are strictly prohibited.
Do you need to arrive early to get a good viewing spot?
Yes. The best spots near the stage fill up quickly, especially by late morning. Arriving before noon gives you the most flexibility for seating and shade placement.
Is the festival family‑friendly for kids and older adults?
Yes, but plan strategically. The crowd grows denser mid‑day, so families with kids or mobility concerns should arrive early, set up once, and limit re‑entry trips.
How busy does traffic get between Emerald Isle and Atlantic Beach on festival day?
Traffic increases significantly late morning and early afternoon. Leaving Emerald Isle by 9:30–10:00 a.m. helps you avoid backups and shuttle wait times.
Is it possible to leave and re‑enter the festival during the day?
Yes. There is no ticketing or controlled re‑entry, but once you leave, your viewing spot is not guaranteed when you return.
