Our History on the Crystal Coast

Sun-Surf Realty was founded in 1978 as Singleton Realty. Several years later, the company was purchased by Alice Smith and renamed Sun-Surf Realty. In 1997, Warren and Tracey Chesnutt assumed ownership and leadership.

In 1999, Sun-Surf Realty purchased Ketterer Realty. This merger established Sun-Surf Realty as one of the largest and most experienced property management companies on Bogue Banks.

In 2025, Sun-Surf Realty merged with its sister company, Emerald Isle Homeowner Services and Recoast Homes which Jamie Vogel owned. Warren and Jamie continue to run the business today.

Today, Sun-Surf Realty manages a variety of Coast vacation rentals, offers a wide selection of annual rentals, and maintains one of the strongest real estate sales teams on the Crystal Coast.
