Absolutely loved this property! House was perfect to accommodate our families, beautifully maintained as well. Owners very conscientious to have everything labeled so we weren't searching for what we needed. Sun Surf sun was terrific (esp Brittany) to get us checked in quickly & start our vacation.

We've come to Emerald Isle for the last 20+ years and this is one of the nicest properties we've stayed at. The open floor plan was fabulous. The kitchen was by far the most well stocked, complete kitchen...literally every small appliance you could need...it was fabulous! Loved being able to keep the cars cool by being the garage. We'll be back and have told our friends who also come to EI to consider The Joy of Stx.

The staff at Sun-Surf were incredibly friendly, cheerful, and helpful. I interacted with them several times during the course of our trip to discuss the crib set-up for our twins (the issue was that the cribs were too heavy for us to take up the stairs of our multi-level rental and so the rental agency had to send someone to carry them up for us). The Joy of STX was wonderful and could have been advertised as having a "chef's kitchen" for the quality and selection of cooking utensils, appliances, etc. Thank you!

We really enjoyed our stay at "Joy of STX". It was beautifully decorated, clean, and spacious for our group. The beach location was nice (not so crowded like some other areas are), but yet we were close to restaurants and shopping. Thanks to the owners for sharing their beautiful beach retreat.
