By Air: Crystal Coast Air Tours
Crystal Coast Aviation Air Tours is your aerial host for a bird's eye view of the Crystal Coast. Where else can you venture out over Cape Lookout and Shackleford Banks to see the famous wild horses racing along the beach, spot schools of dolphin, large sharks, see a humpback whale swimming just below the surface, scope out the spot where the infamous Blackbeard sank his vessel, and fly over the historic Fort Macon site all within an hour's time?
Air tour options include a 30-minute Cape Lookout Tour, a 45-minute Beaches and Banks Tour, or a 60-minute Crystal Coast Tour. Extended tours are available upon request to Ocracoke and the Outer Banks, too. Air tours are flown in Cessna 172s, which are a 4-seat high-wing aircraft. One child under the age of five can fly for free.
Sounds like another bucket list item, doesn't it? Find out more on the Crystal Coast Aviation website!
