Santa Spottings on the Crystal Coast

November wraps up with the Thanskgiving holiday this weekend and then it's on to December. We hope you enjoy time with your family and friends, partake of a wonderful meal, and have time to reflect on all of the things that you're thankful for this year. Most of all, we hope you're spending some time on the CrSanta Spottings on the Crystal Coastystal Coast during the holiday season.

If you are here, we thought you'd like to tell the kids about some Santa spottings that can be found this weekend on the Crystal Coast. Rumor has it that he really loves our beaches and waterfronts. It's a nice break from the North Pole!

On Friday, November 29, Santa arrives on the Beaufort waterfront at 1p.m. sharp. In keeping with the maritime tradition of Beaufort, Santa is cruising to his workshop located by the Dockhouse in a boat. For the fourth year, the crew of the Beaufort Oars is rowing their 34-foot Cornish gig with their guest of honor on the bow of the boat. He'll be escorted to his workshop by his favorite elves. Santa and Mrs. Claus are there and looking forward to listening to your special holiday wishes. They'll only be there until 5p.m., but if you happen to miss them, they'll  be back at the workshop again on November 30, December 14, and December 21 from 11a.m. to 3p.m. In conjunction with the Town Parade and Flotilla, Santa is working late on December 7 and he'll be in the workshop from 11a.m. to 6p.m. He and Mrs. Claus will take a quick break to join in the parade. They'll be riding on the big, red fire truck.

Santa in Emerald IsleSanta can also be spotted this weekend in Emerald Isle at the annual Emerald Isle Christmas Parade on Saturday, November 30 at 3p.m. on Highway 58, Emerald Drive. After the parade, stay around for the official Christmas Tree Lighting at Merchant’s Park. Bring your family and friends and enjoy free refreshments, as well as a holiday caroling sing-a-long. Santa Claus plans to be at the tree lighting, too.

We hope we'll be seeing you on the Crystal Coast of North Carolina during the holiday season. It's never too late to make plans to be here. Spend your holidays on the beach and enjoy all the sights and sounds the coast has to offer. Let us know if you'll be here!

We wish you a wonderful start to the holiday season and a very happy Thanksgiving!
