New Year, New Goals: How To Keep Your Resolutions Even While On Vacation
Happy New Year! 2016 is here and with it comes a whole new list of New Year’s resolutions. Now we all know that making resolutions is easy, but following through with them…well, that can be pretty difficult. However, keeping your New Year’s resolutions can actually be easier than you think even while you’re vacationing here in Emerald Isle. In fact, being here on vacation may make keeping your resolutions even easier!
According to the Statistics Brain Research Institute, some of the top New Year’s resolutions include losing weight, staying healthy, spending less and saving more, enjoying life to the fullest, getting organized, and making more time for family. All of these resolutions, plus many more, can be easily kept even while on vacation.
1. Losing Weight and Staying Healthy
Many people think that being on vacation means that it’s time to let go of the diet and the visits to the gym in order to relax and let loose a little. However, studies show that maintaining an exercise routine and eating healthy can increase dopamine to the brain which is the chemical responsible for making you happy.
So even though eating that extra donut or piece of cake may be tempting, try to remember that you can keep your healthy lifestyle even while on vacation.
If you need some help planning how you will stay healthy while on vacation, you can check out our blog on how to stay healthy while still enjoying your vacation.
2. Spending Less and Saving More
You don’t have to break the bank in order to have fun while on vacation. In fact, you can save money on your vacation right now by renting your beach vacation instead of staying at a resort or an expensive hotel.
The beautiful beach rentals in Emerald Isle are the perfect place to spend your vacation in the privacy of a home, but with the adventure of actually being on vacation.
There are also a lot of cheap, and even free activities to do while you are here in Emerald Isle. Vacations don’t have to be expensive to be fun or memorable. From hiking to fishing to cycling, and more, there is never a shortage of fun activities in Emerald Isle that don’t require you to empty out your wallet.
3. Enjoying Life to the Fullest
This may be one of the easiest resolutions to keep while here in Emerald Isle. A lot of people take the opportunity while deciding to live life to the fullest to create a bucket list.
