It's Fall in Emerald Isle!

There will be lots of fun fall events on the Crystal Coast as we prepare for the holidays, be sure that you don’t miss out on a single one! 

Friday Free Flick

This once-a-month, fun family event will be on the 14th this month at 7pm. Be sure to bring your family for a fun, FREE movie at the Parks and Recreation Center in Emerald Isle. Parents are encouraged to bring comfy chairs or blankets to sit on. Popcorn and drinks are only $1 and admission is FREE! This month, the movie will be Mr. Peabody and Sherman. Oh, and did I mention that the movie is free?

Horse Sense and Survival Tours

Did you enjoy camping at Shackleford so much, that you just can’t wait to go back? Oh, I hear you, I want to go too! If you want to get a better look at the Shackleford horses, be sure to sign up for the Horse Sense and Survival Tours on November 14th and 22nd to learn more about them! Information about getting your reservation can be found on their website. 

Transforming into a community market, the Beaufort Historic Site will be hosting the Jumble Sale 
from 9am to 3pm on November 22nd. Featuring find handmade crafts, beautiful antiques, clothes, "pre-loved treasures,” food, and more, come to admire all the beautiful artistry and crafts that will be
 available! There’s no admission fee and you’re sure to snatch some amazing finds. 

Community Thanksgiving Feast

Community Thanksgiving FeastIf you’re looking to relax 100% and you can’t even think about what you’re going to be doing for 
Thanksgiving dinner, we’ve got you covered. At the Beaufort Historic Site, you can enjoy a
delicious, traditional turkey dinner provided by some of our finest restaurants in the area. Food will be served from 11:30-1pm and will be available to eat and socialize under the provided tent, or for carry out. Don’t miss out on this delicious meal and homemade pies made by the National Charity League. Tickets are only $20 ($23 the day of) for this amazing feast, and tickets are sure to go quickly so make sure that you get them in advance. Don’t miss out on a stress free, deliciously traditional Thanksgiving treat!

3rd Annual Holiday Arts and Crafts Fair

As you’ve probably gathered from all the events in November, Emerald Isle and surrounding areas house many very talented people, and they want to share their talents with you! On November 29th, the Emerald Isle Parks and Recreation Department will host the 3rd Annual Holiday Arts and Crafts Fair which will feature all handmade or hand-authenticated merchandise. All the items are locally crafted and you’re sure to fall in love with something if not everything you see there. Times are from 8am until 6pm, but be sure to get there early, you don’t want everything to be gone before you get there! 

11th Annual Emerald Isle Christmas Parade

What better way to start the holiday season, than with a parade? Emerald Isle will be doing just that 
Santa in Emerald Isle
on Saturday, November 29th starting at 3pm. Be sure to find a good spot along Hwy 58, Emerald Drive so that you can watch too! And make sure you keep your eyes peeled because old St. Nick will be making his appearance as the procession makes its way to the Christmas Tree lighting at Merchant’s Park. Free refreshments, caroling, and visits from Santa are sure make this parade a memorable way to kick off the holiday season!
