Ice Skating on the Crystal Coast? Yes! And More Holiday Fun...

Just because you're on a holiday beach vacation on the Crystal Coast doesn't mean you have to miss out on Ice Skating on the Crystal Coasttraditional holiday activities. Why not try out the new ice skating rink on the Morehead City Waterfront? The ice skating rink is located at the Katherine Davis Park parking lot on 601 Arendell Street. It's a new way to celebrate the holiday season this year with your family and friends courtesy of the Morehead City Parks & Recreation Department. The rink opened on December 6 and will stay open until Wednesday, January 1. It's open seven days a week, with the exception of being closed on December 24th and 25th.

Skating fees are only $5 per skater, which includes the rental skate fee. What a deal! That price includes a 45-minute skating session with a limit of 40 skaters per session. Group ticket sales are available by contacting the Morehead City Parks & Recreation Department at 252.726.5093.

As always, there is plenty of other holiday fun to be had in the upcoming week here on the Crystal Coast. Check out Santa by the Sea at the North Carolina Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores this Friday, December 13. The kids and kids-at-heart will love visiting with Santa, watching magic shows, preparing snacks for Santa's reindeer, taSanta by the Sea at the NC Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shoreske-home crafts assisted by the elves, stories read by Mrs. Claus herself, special appearances by Rudolph, and so much more. Admission is only $9 for all.

Speaking of Santa, he will be in Emerald Isle for breakfast and a story this Saturday, December 14. Make your reservation for Breakfast with Santa and join in the morning fun at 10a.m. at Emerald Isle Parks & Recreation. Hurry, reservations end December 13th! Admission fee is one unwrapped gift  or five canned goods per child.
