Your Emerald Isle rental is your personal vacation paradise with everything you need to celebrate the Fourth. Whether you choose to put your vacation rental to good use by creating a July 4th holiday spread, have a cookout with fabulous grilled fare, or do absolutely nothing but rest and relax in the air-conditioned comfort—you're sure to enjoy Independence your way.
Can't make it this year? Plan your July 4, 2018 beach vacation now. (Did you know that you can use Sun-Surf Realty's Advanced Search Option feature on our website to select the rental amenities that matter most to you like a grill, a pool, a hot tub, or a fireplace? You can!) Once you book the beach vacation rental perfectly suited for you, all that's left to do is count down the days until you're on island time.
2. Watch the 4th of July fireworks off Bogue Inlet Pier.
No Fourth of July celebration is complete without fireworks. The Town of Emerald Isle lights up the night at 9p.m. on Tuesday, July 4, 2017 at the Bogue Inlet Pier. The fireworks are launched from the pier, but can be seen up and down the beach. The fireworks are also visible from Bogue Sound and the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway. Are you staying in an Emerald Isle oceanfront rental? Then step out onto your deck and enjoy the show.
3. Listen to live music at EmeraldFest.
The town's popular EmeraldFest outdoor concert series is back again this summer with concerts every Thursday evening at 6:30p.m. on the oceanfront at the Western Ocean Regional Access, located off Islander Drive. Bring your friends, your lawn chairs or a blanket, and enjoy live music outdoors in the fresh coastal air. During the week of July 4th, 4EverAll is performing on Thursday, July 6, 2017 with a variety of crowd-pleasing pop favorites and original music. Come and spend a coastal evening where music fills the air.

4. Paint the town red (white and blue).
You'll want to go out on the town while you're here and get a taste of the local flavor. However you choose to do it, get out there and explore what Emerald Isle and the surrounding area have to offer.

5. Soak up the beach days.
What would a Fourth of July vacation be without the beach? Bask in the sun, splash in the Atlantic, and sink your toes in the powdery soft sand. Spend your days strolling the shoreline. Watching the dolphins swim by. Admire the stunning color shows courtesy of nature's coastal sunrises and sunsets. When's the last time you built a sandcastle, tossed a frisbee, flew a kite or explored a tidal pool? The beach is the perfect place to rediscover your inner child and to keep the kids entertained all at the same time. We have some great ideas for family beach activities in our previous post entitled: Top 10 Beach Activities for Kids (and kids at heart).
