Free Movie Nights in Emerald Isle

The first Friday of each month at 6p.m. is Classic Movie Night. The featured films are classic movies or movies based on classic novels. This Friday, November 1 is the first Friday of the month, so plan to be there! This week's showing is To Catch a Thief (not rated). Directed by Alfred Hitchcock and starring Cary Grant and Grace Kelly, this film is definitely a classic you won't want to miss. The story is about reformed thief John Robie and his plan to catch the real culprit in a serious of gem heists in the Riviera, where he is the main suspect. He enlists the help of pampered heiress Frances Stevens, who believes him guilty. Robie's plan backfires and Stevens helps to plot his escape. See what happens next!

The second FridayFriday Free Flicks in Emerald Isle of each month at 7p.m. is Friday Free Flicks in Emerald Isle. The Emerald Isle Parks and Recreation gym is the place to be for more family movie fun. This month's feature on Friday, November 8 is The Croods (rated PG). This animated film is a family favorite with famous voices that you'll recognize including Nicholas Cage, Ryan Reynolds, and Emma Stone. When an earthquake obliterates their cave, an unworldly prehistoric family is forced to journey through unfamiliar terrain in search of a new home. But things for pessimistic dad Grug go from bad to worse when his daughter meets a clever cave boy. See what happens as the story unfolds. Don't forget your chairs and blankets, as well as a dollar for the drink and popcorn combo.
