Crystal Coast Boat Show Docks in Morehead City This Weekend

Ahoy, mates! The downtown streets and waterfront of Morehead City come alive this weekend with the Crystal Coast Boat Show happening on Saturday, May 18 from 10a.m. to 5p.m. and Sunday, May 19 fromCrystal Coast Boat Show 11a.m. to 4p.m. This free family-friendly event is hosted by the Downtown Morehead City Revitalization Association and runs in conjunction with the ARTrageous event featuring over 50 regional artists, as well as an Antique Auto Show that takes place at Katherine Davis Park between 6th and 7th streets.

The Crystal Coast Boat show features in-water and on-shore boats, vendors, exhibitors, food and drinks, free entertainment and more. As of now, the lineup includes 22 boats in the water, 45 boats on land, and over 25 vendors.

The 4th Annual ARTCrystal Coast Boat Show Posterrageous Art Show is sponsored by the Arts Council of Carteret County and runs on Saturday from 10a.m. to 6p.m. and Sunday from 10a.m. to 4p.m. The event showcases over 50 artists displaying their art for sale including everything from paintings, pottery, wood carving and so much more. Additional highlights of the event include children's activities, art demonstrations, and a raffle for art prizes. The ARTrageous Art Show is a juried event.

Saturday hosts a Paddle Race starting at 2p.m. beginning at the 10th and Shepard Street boat ramp to the Atlantic Beach bridge and back. Paddleboarders and kayakers of all skill levels are invited to participate. Proceeds of the race benefit Heroes on the Water, Camp Lejeune Chapter. There is also the After Hours Rotary Inshore Classic Flounder Tournament that same day as well as the Antique Auto Show from 10a.m. to 5p.m. Sunday hosts the 2nd Annual After Hours Rotary Cornhole Tournament.
