Beaufort Old Homes & Gardens Tour, Antique Show & Sale and a July 4th Preview for the Crystal Coast

We are enjoying the summer season here in Emerald Isle and on the surrounding Crystal Coast. We are Emerald Isle Beach Funtaking full advantage of the beach, the cooling Atlantic waters, the coastal breeze and having as much fun in the sun as we can. Are you? We hope so! In addition to the beach, there are also plenty of activities, events and festivals to keep you fully occupied during your time here.

Let's not forget that the Fourth of July holiday will be upon us next week, too. If you're feeling panicked that you haven't booked your Emerald Isle beach house yet, fear not. There is still time and there are some great last minute deals on vacation rentals. It's not too late!

If you're here with us this weekend, make plans to take the scenic coastal drive to the quaint maritime town of Beaufort for the 53rd Annual Old Homes and Gardens Tour. The last weekend in JunJosiah Bell Housee ushers in this walking tour of  private historic homes, gardens and churches including the Beaufort Historic Site buildings and the Old Burying Grounds. Narrated bus tours of the historic district, live music and an antique car show are highlights of this annual event. The Beaufort Old Homes and Gardens Tour occurs Friday, June 28 through Saturday, June 29 from 10a.m. to 5p.m. Make a day of it! Read more about it here.

Running in conjunction with the Old Homes and Gardens Tour, the Antique Show and Sale at the Crystal Coast Civic Center in Morehead City runs from June 28-30. These three days host over 40 Southeast dealers showcasing their unique wares to fit any style or budget. The Antique Show and Sale includes displays in furniture, silver, crystal, jewelry, linens, dolls, fine china and more. The vast array of treasures, collectibles and one-of-a-kind pieces allow for hours of antiquing all in one place. Bring any glass or crystal keepsakes that you have and allow the restoration specialists to brinFireworks Off Bogue Inlet Pierg them to life as you wait. A gourmet tea room is open during the show offering specialty sandwiches, beverages and homemade desserts.

As the weekend winds down, the Fourth of July week just gets started. Emerald Isle hosts July 4th fireworks off the Bogue Inlet Pier again this year beginning at 9p.m. Parking is available at the Bogue Inlet Pier as well as along NC 58. Bring your friends and family!
