Beach Season Kicks Off Summer Concert Series Throughout the Crystal Coast

Beach season is here. Summer is in the air. One of the best ways to spend some time here is by enjoying local musical talent and performances set against a backdrop of coastal beauty. You'll find a wide range of diversity and genres suited to please all ages and tastes. What's your favorite? Reggae? Blues? Jazz? Bluegrass? Rock? Soul? Beach music? Acoustic? Country? You name it; you can find it here.

Here are some of the most popular Crystal Coast concert series found during the summer season. Check them out!

Beaufort Live Music Concerts

Come down to the waterfront, view the sailboats and yachts, stroll the boardwalk, enjoy the shops. Then Beaufort by Stefani Pereiramake some time every Thursday from May 16 through August 22 when downtown Beaufort hosts live music concerts on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays at Dockside Park and on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays on Middle Lane. The concerts are free and open to the public, just bring a chair or a blanket. The Beaufort live music concerts are sponsored by the Beaufort Business Association, The Dockhouse, Backstreet Pub and the town of Beaufort. Fort Macon Concert Series

Drive over to Fort Macon in Atlantic Beach for the Fort Macon Concert Series running from May 31 through August 2. For performance times and further details, contact the Friends of Fort Macon.

Morehead City Summer Concert Series
Sponsored by the Morehead City Parks and Recreation Department, the Summer Concert Series takes place on Saturday evenings from 7-8:30p.m. from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend. The concerts are held at Jaycee Park on 807 Shepard Street. Performances are free and open to the public, so bring your family and friends!

SwanFest in Swansboro

The Friendly-City-by-the-Sea, Swansboro, hosts SwanFest on Sunday evenings from May 19 through September 16. The free concert series hosts performances from 6:30-8p.m. at The Pavilion at Olde Town Square in downtown Swansboro. Bring lawn chairs and blankets to make yourself comfortable as you enjoy the music. Pets and alcohol are not permitted at the concerts.
