Get in there and give your home a thorough cleaning. Vacuum out cabinets and closets, dust everywhere, clean your upholstery, steam clean carpets, and move the furniture to clean under, around and behind it. Repeat this for every room.

Doors & Windows
Give some extra attention to your windows and doors. Wipe them down, wash screens, clean window and door frames, polish hardware, and dust window treatments including curtains and blinds. Touch up paint might also be needed for well-worn areas.

Walls & Ceilings
Take the time to vacuum the dust from the ceilings, corners, and walls. Carefully wipe down the walls in high-traffic areas where dirt, scuffs, hand prints and other noticeable wear have accumulated. Degrease these areas of your kitchen, too.

Appliances & Systems
The appliances in your home have had some heavy use. Give some extra time and attention to cleaning them up and cleaning them out. The refrigerator, microwave, oven, dishwasher, and washer/dryer should all be wiped down and cleaned appropriately. Don’t forget to do a systems check, too, to make sure all things are in working order and without issue.

Power washing, landscaping, deck and patio cleanup, grill check, furniture cleaning, and pool maintenance are all part of the spring cleaning to-do list. Don’t forget to check your gutters and downspouts for any debris and clean out that might be necessary. Whether you do it yourself or hire someone, you definitely want to make sure they’re free and clear. It’s also a good time to have your exterior heating and cooling system checked and have any necessary maintenance done. Check your water spigots, hoses, and sprinklers too.
