Brenda remembers the "good old days" when coming to Emerald Isle involved catching the ferry from the mainland to get to the beach. Accommodations were staying at the Emerald Isle Motel or camping out. Mountains of sand dunes were everywhere and shelling was outstanding. She was fortunate enough to spend one full week every year in Emerald Isle with her family.

Then one day in August of 1980, she decided to make the best decision of her life to move permanently from Durham, NC to Emerald Isle. No more leaving on Sunday afternoon feeling depressed and already planning for the next weekend to come back. Accounting was her background until she was offered the opportunity to sell real estate part time. In 1992, she decided to make real estate her full time career and has never looked back.
