What should I wear?

You can dress as you'd like, whether it be practical or festive. We'll leave that to your imagination. Or, you could check out the Penguin Plunge archives for photos of all the previous years' events and find some inspiration.

Does the Penguin Plunge in Atlantic Beach benefit a good cause?

We're so glad you asked. The answer is yes! You'll be freezin' for a reason—and it's a good one. The Penguin Plunge proceeds always benefit a local Carteret County charity. This year, the 2017 charity recipient is the Veteran Student Success Center at Carteret Community College. Read more about the center and feel good about helping this worthy community resource.
